Whether you are strictly a realtor or in the real estate business to flip then sell your house for a profit, you know how important it is to have great photos of your home, especially aerial-view photos that give potential buyers amazing views of your home that they are potentially interested in. In the past, it was incredibly difficult to get these top view pictures of a house and it would take a lot of work. Now though, with the use of drones, it is becoming increasingly easier to take a beautiful aerial photo. Below are 6 tips that will increase the ISO drone photography of your real estate property.

1.) Get the right kind of drone

When you are trying to impress potential buyers and sell your property, you want to make sure that you have a camera that takes great pictures, not those that are subpar. In order to do this, you need to make an upfront investment in a drone that takes high-quality pictures so you can put up pictures that really draw potential buyers in. This is not the time to be cheap!

2.) Make your landscape as beautiful as the house

Whether you are photographing a property that is only worth a few thousand dollars or one that is priced at more than a million, there is going to be some things on the ground that need to be moved and cleaned up so the viewers don’t focus on those, but the house. Before taking your pictures make sure you pick up any outside toys, tools, construction equipment, mow the grass neatly, pick up any large stick. Fix it before you do the photos so you do not have to spend extra time editing pictures.

3.) Adjust your picture settings

It is most often recommended that you take raw pictures with your drone using auto-focus and edit it to your liking later on. However, if you invested in a good drone then the camera should have settings where you can change the ratio. If this is the case, change the camera ratio to 3:2 which will take pictures in the maximum resolution. Trying to focus the drone manually can be very tricky and can leave you with blurred images.

4.) Use intelligent flight modes

All drones come with different modes that change the way they fly. Using an intelligent flight mode will slow the drone down significantly which will help you take shots that are steady and clear.

5.) Don’t fly your drone too high

A common mistake that many people make when they are taking pictures of their property is flying their drones too high and taking pictures from high altitudes. You should only take 1 picture that is from high in order to show people what the entire property looks like, but the rest should be taken at lower perspectives towards the ground.

6.) Be careful how much editing you do

When you do this type of photography there is a lot of things that you can do to take an image from looking okay, to looking amazing. However, it is important to not over-edit and makes too many changes so that when potential home-buyers come to see the house in person they do get what they saw on the pictures.
